It’s the future. A new serum has been invented that significantly slows the aging process. Humans who get the serum injections before the age of 24 can expect to live 500 years if not forever. She works day and night in the lab to create a robot with human emotions and free will. She succeeds with Fisher, an emotional, philosophical robot with blinding intelligence. Fisher struggles with his synthetic humanity and voices the desire to create, to invent, to build more robots like himself. Sara allows Fisher to build, but where should she draw the line? Could Fisher build something dangerous? How much freedom is too much? Fisher’s creations spiral out of control in this epic tale of religion, technology and the lust for power. This was such an awesome take on the A.I. fight for human rights story. The end was a little too crazy for my liking but the journey there was phenomenal. The only downside is that it will ruin movies/TV shows that attempt to tell this type of story and you will become the guy/girl that will always bring up that book that was so much better.Product details

Can't wait to see what's next from Mr Rogers. His story is thought provoking and journeys to the limits of what is human. Must read.
I think religion and science fiction is a difficult bridge to cross. This just doesn't engage me long enough to finish reading the rest. With so many options out there, it's hard to waste time reading a book that doesn't grab your attention and hold it.
Excellent book. Very different story of good versus evil. I can't wait for the movie. I am looking forward to their next adventure.
Devoured the first 3/4 of the book. A little disappointed in the ending. The characters developed in a way that made me believe them throughout most of the book.
And I think that's what made it so riveting. That we are pretty much working on this idea right now, its just that someone decided to run with a "what if" situation - and created this book. The religious aspect of things was a bit excessive, but that is based on the author, not the reader. Over all a good book.
As a technologist and non-Christian, I expected to be preached at or offended. I was neither. I truly enjoyed this story.
Incredible picture of a possible future. Loved the Biblical references, and how I came to experience the robots as people. Also like how people's perceptions of others can change so dramatically.
